Locweld’s in-house engineering team is here for our customers. We provide technical support throughout the project. From start to finish, a client-focused approach means we offer solutions to design problems, and frequently propose design alternatives that can save our clients money and time on site.

Structural Design

LOCWELD has over 70 years of design experience, specializing in lattice transmission towers (up to 765kV), substation structures, and tubular poles. LOCWELD engineers are widely recognized as experts in design within the transmission industry and are active members of the ASCE Design of Steel Transmission Towers Standards Committee, which develops the North American industry standards for the design, fabrication, and testing of members and connections for latticed steel electrical transmission structures.

Detailing

LOCWELD employs a team of dedicated and experienced detailers who specialize in tower detailing. In the market of transmission tower design, the knowledge and expertise of the support staff is of utmost importance. We use modern and proven computer software (PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, PLS-Pole, and advance finite element analysis software) and the latest in fabrication technology.
