Established in 1892, Welcome Hall Mission is the largest doorway to help for Montrealers in need. Many programs are available to support those experiencing homelessness, young single mothers, families and at-risk youth.

Locweld was pleased to have partnered with The Welcome Hall Mission to sponsor the Thanksgiving Day 2021 supper, providing meals to those in need.

“In past years the Montreal Alouettes players and coaching staff created an electric atmosphere at our Macaulay pavilion where they served an incredible Thanksgiving dinner. Unfortunately, the realities of the pandemic have temporarily prevented the team from being with us in person. Thankfully, another team has stepped up to provide some ambiance: Team Locweld! Locweld supplies electric transmission towers to North American utilities. They decided to be the primary sponsor of our Thanksgiving service and donated 500 meals to our RBA clients yesterday! We are deeply grateful to them, to Deanne Cyr, Adam Swatton and Michael Cyr who volunteered their time, and to thousands of Montrealers who have generously given to provide a meal to hundreds of people in need.’’
